BENGaLURU: The Cubbon Park Police on Tuesday evening carried out a raid at residents of Uday Gowda alias Uday K.M., a BJP politician, and K .V. Naidu after obtaining a search warrant from court in connection with case of allegedly trying to encroach upon a property by creating fake documents. According to the police, the search started around 6 pm at his resident in Vishal Palace in Malleswaram and they have collected some documents. Later, around 8 pm police searched K.V. Naidu's house in Dollars Colony and found some photocopies of the documents pertaining to the case.

Police said that Gowda and Naidu had created forged documents and tried to encroach upon a property on Brigade Road and a complaint was filed by the original property owner. The duo had obtained a bail in the case so the police could not arrest the accused. A series of notices issued to Gowda by the police to appear before them and produce original documents were ignored. So the police obtained permission from the court for a raid.





A case was registered in Cubbon Park police station in 2017 under section 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 IPC (using a forged document or electronic record). It was reported earlier that Gowda was one of the alleged kingpins conducting 'operation kamala' to dislodge the present coalition government headed by H.D. Kumaraswamy.
