42 Lakhs and A Govt Job For Kidari Family

The family of late Araku MLA Kidari Sarveshwar Rao, who was recently killed by Maoist troops, will get ex-gratia of Rs 42 lakhs, as per the norms.

The state officials who forwarded a report to the government, in this regard, proposed about the ex-gratia payment to Rao's kin. Apart from the compensation money, the government offers a 'deputy collector' job to the children of deceased public representative if they had finished graduation and holds a degree.

This norm will be applicable to Kidari family as well, says the officials.

The family of former legislator Siveri Soma, who was also killed in the same Naxal attack, will receive the compensation of Rs 12 lakh.

Since there's no special compensation plan for the former legislators, Soma's family will be getting the ex-gratia same as every other normal citizen who gets killed by a Maoist troop.

Apart from the compensation as per norms, if state government decides to offer additional solatium, officials will deliver the same to these two families.
