Adilabad: Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said that a non-BJP and non-Congress federal front should be formed at the Centre to protect the state’s rights and added that such a government will amend the law in Parliament to enable the implementation of reservations more than 50 per cent.

KCR said that it was the responsibility of the Central government to give 12 per cent reservations to minorities and tribals, but both the Congress and BJP were silent on this. KCR was addressing the Praja Ashirvada Sabha in Adilabad town.





KCR strongly opposed the Central government’s control on states and questioned why it should take decisions on education, health and agriculture. He said that they will give 12 per cent reservations to tribals and minorities in the next term by mounting pressure on government at the Centre. This was the right of these communities.

Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Supreme Court judgement against giving reservations of more than 50 per cent was false and there was no provision in the Indian constitution which limited reservations up to 50 per cent.

Chandrasekhar Rao described the present elections as crucial in the interests of people and the development of the state and admitted that he had brought in the elections to continue the ongoing development.

He said that there are only two candidates in the fray - one representing the Kutami of the TDP and Congress and the other of the TRS. He said there are other candidates too in the fray but one need not worry about them (including the BJP) as they are contesting just for namesake. In the Kagaznagar public meeting, KCR said that this vote would change the fate of people and decide their future.

He added that people should be alert and not get confused while exercising their vote. He challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah to name a single state where they were implementing free power to agriculture and pensions.

KCR said that Ayushman Bharath is a third class scheme and Arogya Sri is 1 crore times better than this. He added that the people of the state will suffer losses if their names are enrolled under Ayushman Bharath.

Not even 20 per cent people are covered under Ayushman Bharath unlike 100 percent under Arogya Sri being implemented in the state, he added.
He said that people who have motor cycles, a small house or one acre land are not eligible for Ayushman Bharath.

KCR described projects constructed under the Congress and TDP rule as dhokebhaj projects. Real projects had begun in TRS rule, he said.

KCR said they were implementing welfare schemes irrespective of caste and religion and for all castes and religions such as Kanti Velugu, free power, water under Mission Bhagiratha, Kalyana Laxmi. All sections are eligible for such schemes.

The TRS considers all as equal and there is no discrimination based on caste, religion and nationality.

KCR said that Congress leaders of Telangana have to take permission to take any decision from Delhi and Congress leaders of Telangana are slaves. He showed the sign for asking permission to go to ‘urinate’ and said that Congress leaders have to beg for this. There was no clarity on who is leader in the Congress party and there was no consensus among Congress leaders, he said.

While referring to welfare schemes, KCR said that good welfare schemes are being implemented in the Congress government (instead of under TRS rule). He also stumbled while climbing the steps to the dais at Adilabad town.
