Bengaluru: Inspite of repeated requests by party workers to intervene in the affairs of Bengaluru city BJP, BJP state President B.S.Yeddyurappa has not show any interest to take control of city BJP affairs.

The party’s second rung leaders in Bengaluru North, Central and South Lok Sabha constituencies had complained to Mr Yeddyurappa to take stern action against dissidents in the organisation.





Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, D.V. Sadananda Gowda who represents Bengaluru North Lok Sabha seat, raised the issue in the party forum and urged Yeddyurappa to hear the grievances of the party cadre. During the meeting held at the party office on Saturday, BJP corporators and second rung leaders indirectly pointed fingers at former minister R. Ashok for his 'adjustment politics' with opponents thereby ignoring the services of loyal party workers. BJP leaders also criticized him for bringing JD(S) leaders to the party and giving MLC ticket to them by neglecting party workers.

When Sadananda Gowda urged Yeddyurappa to look into the issue, the BJP chief was non-committal about intervening to set right factionalism in Bengaluru BJP affairs. Sources close to Mr. Yeddyurappa said he was not keen on doling out advice to R. Ashok, V. Somanna and others. this despite the overwhelming feeling that after the demise of Union Minister Ananth Kumar, Yeddyurappa would take control of the party’s city afairs.
