Hyderabad: 61k e-petty cases filed this year

Hyderabad: A total of 61,574 e-petty cases were registered out of which 45,759 men were convicted and 43 cases were acquitted. E-petty cases are evidence-based enforcements.
“Till December 15, a total of 61,574 cases were registered by the Hyderabad City police. Currently, summary trial cases and traffic enforcement cases are being handled in this category,” explained Hyderabad police commissioner, Anjani Kumar.
Out of 4,287 booked via the app, 4,048 were jailed for 1 to 5 days, 202 for 6 to 10 days and 37 for 11 to 16 days.
