140 crude bombs recovered from West Bengal village

Suri, West Bengal: The police have recovered about 140 crude bombs from a village under Parui police station in Birbhum district, the police said.

The bombs were found in a plastic container beside a canal in Palsa village last evening.

No arrest was made, the police said.

Meanwhile, an accidental blast at Burdwan town on October two that killed two persons revealed an IED manufacturing unit of alleged Bangladeshi terror outfit JMB. Though the state agencies were initially investigating the case, the Centre handed over the investigation to NIA.
