TRS plans meet to chalk out strategy for LS

Hyderabad: The Parliamentary Party of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti is meeting on Thursday to finalise the strategy to adopt in the Lok Sabha which goes into session on June 17.

Chief Minister and TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao will discuss the party strategies with his MPs at 2 pm at Pragathi Bhavan.

The party wants the Centre to resolve pending issues with regard to state bifurcation and also to award the Kalesh-waram Lift Irrigation Scheme the status of a national project.

The Centre had promised during the bifurcation that a steel plant would be set up at Bayyaram, a Railway Coach Factory at Kazipet and a Tribal University for the state. Sources said that as the Centre is preparing to introduce the full budget, Mr Rao would instruct his MPs to demand budget allocations for the above mentioned projects as well as for the pending railway line works and new railway lines for Siddipet, Gajwel and Siricilla.
