5 nabbed by Keesara police for stealing iron material worth Rs 20 lakh

The Keesara police arrested five persons who stole material made of iron worth Rs 20 lakh being used at a research unit in Rampally on Monday.
On August 28, C Srinivas Bhaskar, a businessman from Ghatkesar lodged a complaint with the police alleging the flywheels, iron shafts, an air compressor, and other iron material that was installed at a shed in Rampally industrial area was stolen. Srinivas was doing research on Flywheel Power Manipulation at Rampally industrial area.
The police said that the probe revealed that accused V Sai Mohan, 50, who took up the work with Srinivas as a caretaker of the premises had hatched a plan to sell the iron material to the scrap businessmen at Patancheru.
With the help of Shaik Baba, 32, Syed Feroz Ali, 38, Md Mohammed Hameed Koheer, 33, and Md Rasheed, he stole the material and shifted to Patancheru, and took Rs 2.5 lakh from them for the iron material, the police added.
