Declare unemployment emergency, Dasoju tells KCR

AICC national spokesperson Dasoju Sravan on Thursday demanded that the state declare an unemployment emergency. He also demanded an all-party meeting to take up the unemployment issue. Around 40 lakh unemployed youth are suffering due to lack of recruitment, he said.

Of the 1.91 lakh vacancies, the government has proposed to fill up only 91,000 jobs, which was unacceptable, he said.

Speaking to reporters, Sravan said that delays in jobs notifications have added to the agony of 40 lakh families.

The Congress leader suggested a task force committee, comprising experts from diverse fields, on unemployment issues. He demanded disbursement of unemployment allowance, implementation of 95 reservations for locals in the private sector and reinstating of 42,000 contract and outsourcing employees, who were unceremoniously removed from service.
