Telugu Desam national president N. Chandrababu Naidu perceives an upsurge among people in favour of Telugu Desam as the party prepares for its two-day 2022 Mahanadu starting Friday at Manduvaripalem near Ongole.

Naidu predicted that waves of people belonging to all oppressed sections will be turning up for the public meeting coinciding with Mahanadu 2022. Seeing the enthusiasm among people in favour of Telugu Desam, YSRC government is creating hurdles for holding of the mega party conclave.





“This shows the level of frustration the ruling party is enveloped in,” the TD chief remarked.

A statement issued by the Telugu Desam here said 15 resolutions will be passed at the Mahanadu relating to both the Telugu states. The resolutions are being finalised by a committee chaired by former minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu.

Members of various Mahanadu committees have informed Naidu that invitations have been sent to over 12,000 top TD leaders for attending the party conclave. Telugu Desam state president K. Atchannaidu said over a lakh people will attend the public meeting being held as part of the massive party conclave.





Meanwhile, TD leaders of Prakasam are making elaborate arrangements for the annual Mahanadu at Manduvaripalem near Ongole on May 27 and 28.

Party national general secretary Beeda Ravichandra inspected the venue along with former minister Pattipati Pulla Rao and former Ongole legislator Damacharla Janardhan on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravichandra said 2022 Mahanadu will mark 40 years of Telugu Desam and centenary of party founder N.T. Rama Rao. He maintained that the party conclave is being held at a crucial juncture when the voice of those questioning ruling YSR Congress is being stifled. He pointed out that all sections of people, including SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, farmers, labour and youth have hit the road to realise their justified demands from the government.





The party general secretary asserted that people want Chandrababu Naidu back in power to take out the state from the economic morass using his experience of being the chief minister of AP for 15 years.
