Hyderabad: A day after a 63-year-old retired mechanical engineer was allegedly murdered by his neighbour at Azampura in Chaderghat, cops arrested two persons and remanded them on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Poosa Rajesh, 28, and his mother Poosa Maheshwari, 47.
According to A. Ravinder, DCP East Zone, the accused had frequent fights within the family over property issues. Whenever they quarreled, Syed Nooruddin, the deceased, would intervene. As a result, Rajesh developed a grudge against him. Even on Sunday, the accused were fighting and Nooruddin intervened. “This annoyed Rajesh and when the victim was returning home, he attacked him,” said the official.
Earlier based on a complaint, a case was booked for murder under the Arms Act. A sword was seized from the accused.
