AOC traffic curbs: Telangana State team to meet defence minister Manohar Parrikar

Hyderabad: The AOC traffic curb issue has finally woken up the state government, and a delegation comprising TRS Malkajgiri MLA, finance minister, chief secretary and the GHMC commissioner will leave for Delhi on December 26 to meet the defence minister, Manohar Parrikar.

The delegation will be requesting for an extension of the traffic restriction deadline until all the alternative routes are constructed, said Malkajgiri MLA, C. Kanaka Reddy. On Thursday, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao called for a meeting to discuss the alternative routes. “The CMO will send a letter to the AOC Commanding Officer seeking extension of the second phase of restriction. The delegation will meet the defence minister and request him to grant Army lands for creation of alternative routes,” said Mr Kanaka Reddy.
