Hyderabad: YSRC Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy appeared before the special CBI court here on Thursday in connection with the alleged quid pro quo case against him.

Former AP ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao, Dharmana Prasada Rao and others who have been named as accused in different chargesheets also appeared before the court, which posted the matter to March 6.

According to the CBI, several industrialists invested in the companies owned by Jagan as a quid pro quo for government favours when his father Y.S. Rajsekhara Reddy was the CM.

Meanwhile former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, an accused in the case of alleged illegal mining in Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) made his first appearance in the court after he secured a bail in the case. His brother-in-law B.V. Srinivasa Reddy, the MD of OMC and other accused appeared before the court in the case. The special court posted the matter to February 19.

Interestingly in the court premises, Jagan and Gali Janardhan Reddy greeted each other. Jagan reportedly greeted Gali saying “Are you fine?” and Gali who recently got bail from the Supreme Court had nodded in affirmative.
