Night curbs in Vijayawada stayed by Hyderabad High Court

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Monday stayed the night searches being carried out by the Vijayawada city police in the name of “Operation Night Domination.” The court declared it as unconstitutional.
A division bench of Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar was dealing with a PIL moved by T. Chiranjeevi, a lawyer, challenging the detention of people and outsiders for not carrying their identity cards.
