Hyderabad: With the increasing percentage of migration, currently 30 per cent, Hyderabad is gradually reaching its saturation point, say experts.

Lack of infrastructure, quality education and employment is drawing people, not only from districts in Telangana State or Andhra Pradesh, but Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka. This, meanwhile, is directly affecting the civic amenities, traffic and the crime rate in the city.

The Telangana Architects’ Association has developed a plan to make amenities available in other towns to decrease the number of migrants in the city. D.T. Vinod, founder of the TSAA, said the focus would be on “making villages and cities livable.”

TSAA will prepare imaginative and effective master plans for towns and cities in the current economic climate to address various problems. “We will also be holding competitions for architecture students of all colleges and schools in Telangana State,” said A. Vijay Kumar, TSAA treasurer.
