MM Hassan lashes out at pcc chief for remarks on tweaked liquor policy

KOZHIKODE: KPCC vice president MM Hassan unleashed scathing criticism against KPCC president VM Sudheeran on Sunday for his open criticism of the Oommen Chandy government for watering down the revised liquor policy.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday at Kasargod, Mr Hassan said that it is quite unbecoming for KPCC president who is supposed to take action against those who openly criticize party and government, to unleash criticism in such a way.

“The single statement of Sudheeran had transformed the entire politics of the state against Congress”, Hassan said, adding that it is the duty of Sudheeran as the leader of the leading political party of UDF, to reach at a consensus discussing with all constituents.

Sudheeran should not have raised such an issue openly without discussing in party forums, Hassan said.
