New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday said there was no need for him to talk to his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu on issues relating to bifurcation.
Speaking to reporters at Parliament’s Central Hall, Mr Rao said he was confident that all issues relating to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh would be resolved soon.
Asked by a reporter whether he would talk to Mr Naidu on the issues, he said there was no need for such a dialogue as the AP Reorganisation Act is very clear on what Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should get after bifurcation.
“The Act is very clear and it has even set timelines for certain projects,” he said. Speaking with Deccan Chronicle, Mr Rao said, “I am very happy with the meetings (with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other ministers). “Certainly, I am hopeful (of all promises being delivered to Telangana),” he said, when asked whether his meetings were successful.
